Few forms of mass communication are more rewarding than public health. It is highly specialized and yet uses exactly the same tools and techniques as commercial advertising. When faced with the choice of saving someone’s precious sight or selling more sodas, I for one have little hesitation.

Clearly we do not practice this limited segment of our professions for the money. Selling sodas pays a lot more for exactly the same if not less work. Saving sight or a small child’s future is simply more rewarding. Personally rewarding, in a way that money or fancy corporate titles can and never will be.
